Thanks to my friend and her Mom I had the opportunity to visit many famous spots on the island <3

Here are some of my favorite places: Le Diamant the beautiful city where I stayed. Of course, don't forget to go to Fort-de-France, the capital and its famous local market! I also loved Coeur Bouliki which is a natural area with rivers where you can swim. If you are adventurous, you can also go hiking in its forest. You can visit The pottery village where you will find many handicraft works (I bought some beautiful postcards there haha). And if you are looking for some beaches: the well-known ones are mainly located in the south of the island: L'Anse Mitan, L'Anse à L'Âne, Le Diamant, Les Salines...

 

Regarding the food: you have to go to Snack Elizé and eat some burgers there! I also ate a famous mollusk in Martinique: the Lambi and it was delicious (with some rice and plantain bananas)! And before leaving the island, I went to a famous store called "Le Monde de Epices" to buy some spices :)

Finally, there are also many historical places to go as: the Memorial Cap 110 (in tribute to the last slave shipwreck from Africa in Martinique) and the Maison du Bagnard (an atypical house where an ex-convict called Médart Aribot lived).
