August 20, 2022: My friend and I, decided to spend our Saturday outside, but without spending a lot of money (because times are hard haha). So, to reach our goal, we went to the Korean cultural center located in Paris. Indeed, the center proposed two free exhibitions: the first one was about Yeondeunghoe a famous Buddhist lantern festival which takes place every year in Korea and the second one about the popularity of Korean webtoons! I knew this cultural center for a long time, but it was my first visit there. I was really surprised, in a good way: the building is really modern and welcoming! I loved the two exhibitions, especially the first one with the lanterns and the lights which were soooo beautiful. There was also a room with little korean traditional paper characters called Hanji that I found too cute (made by the artist: Yang Mi-Young).
After that, we walked around Paris and in the evening, we ate in a Korean restaurant called In Seoul for the second time. We had a kimchi soup which was just DELICIOUS (It warmed our hearts haha). I really like this restaurant! The deco is also really cosy with some cute illustrations and postcards :)
To conclude, I can't wait for winter to go back there and get warmed up with this soup! Assitan <3
