- NICE, CANNES &
SAINTE-MARGUERITE ISLAND ☆-
Welcome to Nice! We stayed in the city for 7 days near the famous Promenade des Anglais. The weather was perfect, around 28 degrees, and we did a lot of activities! I'd recommend you to visit the Parc Phoenix, dedicated to flowers and animals. You must go to the Parc de la Colline du Château too: it's a really peaceful place with a beautiful fountain and a great point of view. In Nice, there are also some great museums such as the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and the Asian Art Museum! You can also go for a swim in the beautiful sea, eat and drink on the beach, or take a boat tour :)

The old district of Nice is one of my favorite areas of the city! During the day, the atmosphere is really cool and I loved walking through its little streets and seeing some of the traditional orange / red buildings. I'd recommend you to walk past the beautiful "Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate" and to visit the souvenir stores. And last but not the least, in the old district, there is FENOCCHIO a.k.a the BEST ice cream shop I've ever tried in my life! Their ice creams are just incredible and so tasty. You can try a lot of different flavors. My favorite combo was: lychee & avocado and I used to go to the shop every night to get it!!! OMG, my mouth is watering when I think of that haha :)

In this album, you will also find some photos of a daily excursion we made to Sainte-Marguerite Island! That day, we also made a detour to Cannes, since we had to take a ferry to get to the island!
A summary of that excursion: we took the train from Nice at 10 a.m. and arrived in Cannes 30 minutes later. Then, we went in front of the "Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes," which is famous for its worldwide cinema festival. There, we took some photos on the red carpet with cardboard celebrities haha. After that, we went to Sainte-Marguerite island by ferry for the rest of the day. This island is so natural and peaceful. I remember the seawater was as clear as a river, but also warm! If you come there, I'd recommend you to bring a picnic, so you can eat and lie on the beach. Ps: I have to warn you that there aren't many toilets on this island, and they were really DIRTY, so try to take your precautions beforehand) ...
And at the end of the day, back to Cannes, we took a ride on the Ferris wheel and bought some souvenirs before taking the train to Nice!
