Washington D.C. is only a two-hour train ride from Philadelphia. That's why I absolutely had to visit this iconic capital during my stay in the United States!
The atmosphere in Washington is very special because there are police cars everywhere (Maybe I even saw some FBI or CIA agents, who knows haha?) But this omnipresence wasn't disturbing, and it was nice to take a walk there, even in the evening, and feel safe...(I had this same feeling in Singapore). In December, the city is also well decorated for the festivities with huge Christmas trees and lights. Washington is very clean and not crowded: there is also a lot of space and greenery, which was quite pleasant.
During my stay trip there, I went to the most iconic place: Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Memorial, the Washington Monument, The Capitol, The Library of Crongress (which is a great place to visit), The Chrismas Market, and of course The White House (Regarding The White House, I was so disappointed to be honest: It's only a house, white lol! And I was a little bit far but it looked smaller than I thought, without any charisma haha) . To conclude, I have also visited the most AMAZING, INCREDIBLE museum I've ever been in my entire life, The NMAAHC: The National Museum of African American History and Culture - But I will talk about that in another album :)
So, Washington was a very good stay, and I'd recommend staying there 2 or 3 days to see everything you want without being in a hurry! - Assitan <3
